"Light"
"The light began to filter into the early morning darkness, replacing the dark feel of night with the morning glow of life. Where there was no hope, suddenly hope sprang forth. Where there was only darkness and despair there was now a feeling of welcome relief filtering in through the trees. It is amazing to me that light can always over come the darkness but no quantity of darkness or evil no matter how vast, or over powering it may seem, can overcome even the smallest amount of light. Isn't it great that we are the light givers of the world. That we, through our craft use light and film to overcome the darkness and unhappiness in the world. When I consider these things I feel blessed that I was given even the smallest amount of talent to leave this world a little better because of photography. To tell someone's story through the eyes of the camera is indeed a gift, unequaled in the world. Consider all of the things in life that you could do, is there any vocation any nobler, any more powerful, any more rewarding? As I go through the day, I consider the camera as not just a tool, but a book, a diary if you will, that will capture the fleeting moments of someone's life."
